Omni Hiraya Company was established in New York in 2021, drawing inspiration from a fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. The brand’s founder, Janina Leprozo, immigrated from the Philippines in 2008. With Filipino-Chinese heritage, she was exposed to and embraced the rich rituals and traditions of her roots. Fond memories include her grandmother, who hailed from Guangzhou, practicing Gua Sha techniques in conjunction with coconut oil, a widely accessible and commonly used oil in the Philippines. It was this amalgamation of her upbringing that served as the catalyst for the creation of Omni Hiraya.
